The horse racing industry is trying to compete with the Casinos......They would like an event as regularly as possible so that people don't loose interest.

As I have said many times before, their loyalty is not to SA racing, but rather to their bottom line.

Here in the US each state runs their own business.....Which is good for business. Competition is rife and people compete for each others money here. Not so in SA. One company has the monopoly and is running their affairs as such!
