just thinking back to a post many moons ago about the chinese racing system. so only certain owners and trainers now know which stables have the virus and the poor punter gets na@#$%^ied up the @#$% as they have to put the money down first and lose it as they do not know better. they are just contributing to the system. i feel these type of things require suspension even though it could not be prevented. nosebleeds, coughing etc gets suspensions so surely this must also. i know the trainer will be out for a while but the trainer would prob produce the same results if they were running anyway with the virus. at least the punter wont be out of pocket. its just fair against the punter who makes the industry as we had this fight before.

I think the thing about virusses is that they don't affect all the horses in the stable at the same time and it may affect some horses more than others, and others will escape all together. So I don't think suspending the trainer is an option, he needs to race the horses which seems unaffected in order to provide much needed income for the owners. If the horse then runs down the drain, it is just bad luck for all concerned.
