Lets have a bit of fun- Breed your own horse

On a more serious or realistic note I am highly tempted to breed our mare Island Groove to a son of Royal Academy. The result would be a highly in-bred horse that would be either genetic dynamite or a hillbilly disaster. Temptation, temptation.

According to my outdated g1goldmine, that particular cross (son of Royal Academy x mare out of a daughter of Royal Academy) hasn't produced any GR winners yet. Then again, maybe it hasn't been tried that often!

I see that La Zagaletta (3xGr2, 2xGr3) is out of Swiftsynd, so she's a half-sister to Island Groove's dam. Maybe you should be looking for a stallion with a similar pedigree to Last Tycoon, La Zagaletta's sire?

Yes, I'm a wannabee breeder. Don't have a clue what I'm talking about, other than what the software shows me. Hope to be doing this for my own horses someday.

Rabah is out of The Perfect Life, a full sister to Last Tycoon.
Almushtarak/Casey Tibbs are by a son of Northern Dancer, out of a Mill Reef mare. Last Tycoon is the same.
Stagelight also has the Northern Dancer x Mill Reef cross but further back.
