Margaret I am in possession of an e-mail that states that Phumelela DO NOT have go ahead for the lights...........

The mail states that the original timeline has expired and that Phumelela are in the process of re-applying and permission has not been granted at this stage.

Please advise.

Not the best idea for the following reasons..

1. what time will they spray the rubbish dump accross the road..
the smell will kill us all at night...
they spray the dump before racing in the morning...
sometimes they don't due to strike...
but at night the smell will travel..

2. rather dangerous area after dark..
the stretch from turfontein to the N2 east west..
not ideal for travelling with fancy car and family..

3. we will be sitting duck's at night in the restaurants for robbery..
these guys do it with military precision..
....3 minutes then they are done..and gone..
they sit as guest at various tables..10 of them..
then 4 block the door..
takes them 3 minutes to do an entire spur with more than 300 people..
I have been involved in one..not as a robber!!!
believe me...army military precision...
where are the cops going to find them at turfontein race cource at night..
