maybe your horses are slower than the UK horses (JJ the exception) thus it takes longer to get down

Scotia they most probably realized that by going down to the gates in only 5 min. the horses doesn't stress so much. there fore loading done more quickly. just my 2c worth.

Kobus may have a point. Also, in Europe horses usually canter all the way to post instead of walking most of the way as in SA. They get a chance to warm up more as a result. Maybe it's a practice which arose because of the generally cooler weather there?

Not sure of the "facts" but would guess plenty, we normally have problems putting the horses in, always at least one acting up.

France appears terrible? maybe its because they eat them over there.
