wrt RJ 2005 i was told to back Dunford form May which i duly did playing small dbl etc and it arrived handsomely.May 2009 told to back RJ....

Pocket by far the one to beat and a hard one at that!!! Only other danger is Big City Life and maybe Bouquet Garni - but as i said last year, not exactly in favour of the 3 year olds. With a quality horse like Pocket Power - 58kg to shoulder as he always does in these top events must seem a feather, running against a pretty thin field in the quality department

51.5 kg RJ all the way for me.................

I think Pocket will find it hard to give a smart horse like Smart Banker 5.5 kg's; also believe that Big City Life will find it hard to beat Smart Banker at the weights; River Jetez is actually worse off in the weights with Pocket than last year; so I think at current odds of 10/1 Smart Banker (who is also better off on the weights with Aluminiun on the Champ Challenge run) offers the value - but cover on the champ.

bernard cannot speak.. he is riding Pocket Power, Greg is riding Big City Life..
however, on the line of dan de largo/big city life, smart banker will beat big city life.

smart banker's only worry is Pocket Power..
However, if bernard could speak....big city life will beat Pocket Power????

Thus, the laird stable must be the winner.....if....aluminium....greyville easier than turfontein....skips clear at the 400 meter....
