Sylvester makes a fair point and is merely giving vent to a perecption - that is probably pretty accurate.

Few better horsemen that lived that Herman Brown Snr.......Jnr should have gone to Hollywood rather and become a movie star or summing - perhaps the new 007?

carlos sometimes you talk lots of shit. it is patently clear to anyone that can read a formbook that brown is not doing the business. this is particularly true of the expensive yearlings he choses.

Well, Pointing East was something like 9.5 kgs out at WFA with the winner, she had never run around a turn, never been over 1600m, etc. Yes, I thought she would win - but there are good reasons, perhaps, why she did not. Having an apprentice claim 4 kgs on the winner may have been the straw which broke the camel's back for the favourite.

Maybe, greg, but the other side of the coin is that an older maiden that hasn't won by late July can't (with few exceptions) be very good. No disrespect to connections, but the older horses in that field were pretty moderate at best,
