Andrew Fortune is going to chirp at De Melo  for a long while for missing on Tin Pan.

He did call it. Horse was drawn neatly but was placed at the back.

So Star Major must be at least the 14th best race horse in the world if he managed to beat Tin Pan Alley....Longines 15th best horse in the world....even 7kg's out at the weights

I think Tin Pan Alley's previous run was 'mis-calculated' by the Handicapper (now we know that) - did beat See It Again needing the run and also Texas Red ran last in his subsequent run - I think TPA is around 110 - and Star Major around 112 - going to be interesting when the ratings for the Guineas come out ...
