Dr Who...there's actually not that much hype around Fort Vogue...just a bit of a discussion on the forum which I assume is why its been created in the first place.
Whoever wins the Selangor Cup is not assured of a place in the ranks of top horses in the country however it does usually show that the winner have undoubted potential.
The field in fact looks rather ordinary.
A win-win situation would be if both Fort Vogue and Lord London turns out to be pure class....
The nature of the game as I said before may see a late developer come through though and steal all the of the limelight!

Yeah, and im taking part in the discussion.

Come off it - its the biggest talking horse since......Lubricator(another expensive above average type talked up as a champion)

It will be priced up around 4/1 for the Selangor - lay lay lay.

Bernard can't get the weight. Think he can only ride 56 / 57kg's.

Agree with Pirates - be with Bass - by far the best trainer in SA ....... this is the most expensive horse he has ever bought..which ultimately puts his results and returns over the past 20 years into perspective.

I spoke to Candice after his run...they taking each day as it comes and are in no hurry.... she says he has tons of imorovement to come....

The tendency in SA is to tout a horse a champion in the making before it even debuts. There have been many instances in which horses that have won their debuts in impressive fashion are proclaimed as superstars in the making.I wonder if this is not part of a marketing ploy to attract overseas purchasers towards laying down huge offers for these huge "reputation" horses.
