He has absolutely no right to air his problems on the racing channel. He did wrong here and in Hong Kong.He is a professional and should act as such on the racecourse.

PRESS RELEASE
INTERIM SUSPENSION – JOCKEY GRANT VAN NIEKERK
The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa (the NHA) confirms noting the comments made by Jockey Grant van Niekerk in a post-race interview following Race 2 at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Wednesday, 26 March 2025.
In view of these inter alia derogatory comments against the NHA, referencing an Inquiry that was held on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, into his riding of ALL OUT FOR SIX in Race 8 at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on 16 March 2025, the Chief Executive has implemented the provisions of Rule 91.2, effectively that Jockey Grant van Niekerk has been placed under an immediate interim suspension and has been replaced on his remaining rides.
An Inquiry has been opened into this matter.

Well me personally I hope the other jockeys were standing up for their colleague and refused to ride unless GvN got to complete the meeting.
@thegood ... I agree was unprofessional BUT sometimes one gets boxed into a corner ...

Until his constant interference kills or hurts another rider or horse...his record is there for all his fans to see...and his brilliant ride on Zeus in KZN where his completely ignored riding instructions and rode a come from behind horse like a sprinter....and he cries about poor jockeys losing money because of fines...what about punters who lost ...funny how many fines did Marcus get for inference..and Striker and Munger etc...funny how the NHA are picking on him...laughable

Don't disagree that the riding is extremely dangerous and needs to be addressed but this is clearly a money making exercise

I don't know how else they can stop it...but I do think the whole whip rule ..12 strikes...and the foward stroke is only there to make money....if anyone has any doubts as to this guys riding just search sporting post and you will see how many times he's done this...

Please MR HAWAII, the only reason he gets fines is because of favouritism.... In his eyes, he is 100% legal...just hasn't had the time to take the NHA to court and get all his fines money back.

Those jocks that support him should just think on Gunter Wrogemann Anthony Delpech and Noresh Juglall and though they may not agree with the size of the fines they should realise racing is super dangerous and the less interference we have the better...you can get seriously hurt just cantering a horse so the more the NHA stamp out reckless riding the better....the rules we have now encourage this type of riding...if the rules were stronger and forced a horse to be put behind any horse it caused interference to then riding would improve...in the current form you can knock a horse off its path and still keep the race if you were deemed to be going better than it....its basically a professional foul...so you weigh up winning the race as opposed to the fine and decide to take the chance...very wrong and needs changing

I honestly believe that what you are saying is exactly what all stakeholders are crying out for.
Transparent rules and sanctions, objectively applied that have little to no degree of being affected by subjective opinion, carried out consistently.
Simple however not so simplistic.
