RACE 1     


Preview: WAITFORGREENLIGHT (4) hard knocker who could finally get off the mark from a nice high draw. WOMEN OF FAME (3) promising sort who also has a good draw. OUT THE MIST (13) could earn here. (David Thiselton 4-3-13)


RACE 2     


Preview: BABYLON (2) has good form and looks the one to beat. EDWARD RYE (1) is drawn on the right side and has shown some promise. BREGARDT (4) is better than his last two runs and is drawn on the right side. (David Thiselton 2-1-4)


RACE 3     


Preview: BIRTHRIGHT (1) is a scopey sort who can do well if allowed to lead. GAMER (4) made a good debut and should go close. GREEN GARNET (5) has run two good races and should be right there. (David Thiselton 1-4-5)


RACE 4     


Preview: PINK DIAMOND (2) is knocking on the door and can get it right from a good draw. UNITED WE STAND (1) has the form to contest the finish but has a tricky draw. ONE RELIGION (6) has run three good races and can improve over this trip. (David Thiselton 2-1-6)


RACE 5


Preview: RED BOMBER (3) has shown class and is the one to beat. UNZEN (1) only just failed when making a late run over 1200m in his penultimate start and beat Red Bomber there by 1,20 lengths on the same terms as here, but the former is entitled to improvement from a fitness and distance point of view so is preferred. SILVER HILLS (8 ) hasn’t run since the SA Oaks but her class can pull her through. ARIVIDICIO (2) is capable of placing here. (David Thiselton 3-1-8-2-4)


RACE 6     


Preview: PLATINA PRINCESS (4) is classy and should progress continually this season. ZINOVI (3) has class but has breathing issues. PURE PREDATOR (2) has mixed it with the best. (David Thiselton 4-3-2)


RACE 7     


Preview: SAY YES (9) should relish the step down in trip and can use her fine turn of foot. SILVER SANCTUARY (10) is an up and coming sort who will continue to progress. JULIET TANGO (5) has the form to be involved. (David Thiselton 9-10-5)


RACE 8     


Preview: BAVARIAN BEAUTY (5) is a Gr 1 winner returning from a layoff and should go close in this field. SIMPLE SIMPLE (7) has the ability to contest it. BRAVE VIKING (6) should be cherry ripe and can go close at his best (David Thiselton 5-7-6)


RACE 9     


Preview: WHAT A TIGER (6) is a capable sprinter and should be right there from a good draw. IN THE ETHER (10) is also drawn on the right side. SAMOA (4) should produce her usual late rattle (David Thiselton 6-10-4)

False Rail – 2,5m on the back straight to 3m on the bend with a 3m spur at the 700m mark

The weather is good can only hope results better than yesterday.

......card looks a bit t(c)rappy.....some nice sorts around but several from stables with below par form......going to try keep my powder dry..... but will try post a pointer or cautions as none of the races appear to be cut and dry.....

......Race 1.....here far too many make genetic appeal and some have had flashes of potential but failed when pressed ....could write a novel on this race alone but will give an example of just one of the many that may be in the fray....no 15........Here .the Linngari sire imo was the answer to the plethora of Mr P mares in the KZN area.....I see a big affinity with MrP in that he is an almost out cross in carrying very little Northern Dancer (only one line) no Mr Prospector nor any Bold Ruler.....apart from matings with Mr P laden mares.....he should have done well with SW crosses and Danzig/Danehills with or without Mr P as he has the presence of some strong Mill Reef another affinity to both Danzig and SW........the now owner/top breeders of the horse in question have purchased it not for the sire but the dam which ,may have bigger potential and has already thrown a cracker in Battle Force.....

Let's hope Striker can be bothered to ride today and not get to the start and say feck that

......the biggest hot shot for the day should be hard to beat.....however the Soma charge could just be up to the task.....:ohmy:.....this trainer is trying all sorts of headgear to get a better performance and even tried testing its stamina by going a trip on the last outing... ..now back to imo an ideal trip and now some actual scoops which may keep him ultra keen and he may just emulate what his younger half sister did yesterday.....
