I think that the front runners may have gone a little too hard early in race 1 which set it up for those coming from a bit off the pace.

You have three runners in a race, two have no chance, can you not sacrifice one or both to ensure a decent gallop. Fourie, and all credit to him, cottoned on to the fact that the pace was far too slow, took the bull by the horns going round the turn. and was not for the catching
