Correct. When it was carded to run, I started a thread on it because from the 19990s until then I could not recall a 2yo running in a Grade 1.

I also posted that,

By the way, there was a filly called, Kings Pact, that won the Clairwood Winter Handicap as a two year old. She had an impeccable two year old record. This race is now known as the Champions Cup.

TERRENCE Millard had a horse called Sacred Jungle I think that ran in a Gr 1 sprint instead of going for the 2yr old races...I think maybe Sutherland rode and it finished maybe 4th carrying 49kg...I think it ran in Becks colours

Morning Naresh

I must say that your knowledge on horse racing is exceptional and your contributions to the site is much appreciated 👌

Thanks for the compliments and "Thank you's".

I was born in 1978 and by the time I was in my teens the golden era of horseracing was finished by the 1990's. My late Dad was an avid punter and that's how I knew and about horseracing. He should tell me about his so called champions like William Penn and with the internet around should Google about them. In South Africa its pretty hard to get the archives of older horses compared to overseas. Kings Pact was my favorite filly that I read about and Nacarat, I always had a soft spot for it through its dam, Tawny Red who is from Royal Chalice family. My passion is for breeding/bloodlines although I got alot to learn. Federico Tesio, The Wizard of Dormello, was a legend of breeding and bred, Nearco and Ribot with Nearco the Grandsire of Northern Dancer. My profile picture on ABC has been Ribot from the inception.
