Yes it did rain here hard last night TNaicker, but the constant showers today claim is not true.
The poly should have been ready to race today if it was any good as it's had a good 6 hrs with very little drizzle on it this morning, they had to find an excuse.
But who cares anyways, utter crap racing as usual.

Below is the last time they raced in Woodbine Canada on the Polytrack. Got abandoned after 6 races. Atrocious is an understatement!

Exactly, but as usual things in SA racing haven't been done properly and will try and find anything to blame expect their own doings.

......sadly these track systems are largely designed by trial and error as no climatic conditions are ever exactly the same ....temperature dew points altitude wind humidity maintenance and other factors....in 1985 I worked for a European chemical and plastics multinational.....I was tasked with doing a feasibility study on a polymer by- product for various local applications including artificial horse racing surfaces.....needless to say there was no local interest whatsoeva.....I however retained the information on these applications....and have followed with interest the so called technology and have seen many failures of these various systems.....Del Mar Singapore Meydan Toowoomba are the ones that spring to mind....and they may not have been done by the same company but the principle is still similar....i always thought we would have problems in PE but it is largely hassle free....I believe that some short cuts may have been taken at Greyille that has compromised the drainage system and rendering it to the problems of meetings having to be abandoned.....:S
