Looking at the form of the runners in the first, i make the 2 unraced Wilgerbosdrift fillies the main contenders. After that, you can use a dartboard. I make Fort Snow the best of the experienced runners

Interesting day's racing - need to keep an eye on the going as we move on; thoughts ...

R1: All the money seemingly for the de Kock first-timer; for me I think she would need to be quite forward to beat Trattoria, who made a good debut beating Flying Carpet who ran close to MK's Pride and War of Athena at set weights; Malvern gets a tongue tie, but for me needs to show that she gets the 1450

R2: Another Silvano first timer at the top of the boards, this time over 1600, and I don't think it has much to beat bar Courtroom Magic (well beaten last time) and another first timer Reuniion who has a wide draw

R3: Handicap, where Royal Escapade has the benefit of winning on this track and soft going, so should go close again; Doctor Doolittle won at the 2nd time of asking and could be anything if handling the going; Samurai Jack has also ran well over this track and trip, so another who could feature after a break; The Eight Lord gets weights from these 3, and looks well in; I think General Jackson could make trifectas and quartets pay

R4: Very competitive fillies and mares handicap where even Now You See Me at the bottom of the boards, can't be ignored; 3 yr old Netta ran well in features and has found market support, so can feature as well; for Anatura again way over-priced and can easily place or even win; Lady Amherst has a wide draw but also looks well handicapped.

R5: I fancy Zeal and Zest here; jock has won on him once and finished 2nd as well from 2 tries; he is a 6x winner also boasting a win and a 2nd over this track and trip and has also won in the soft; danger is Captain Chorus; preparing for the yellow stuff, but I can't have the recent maiden winner Have a Go Jo over this trip and at these weights

R6: Another fillies and mares handicap, and just as competitive as the one earlier; Tartan Dancer has been expected to run better recently, and maybe the soft conditions will help her to find her best again (she has won 3 times out of 3 tries in the soft); Curvation has also won in the soft, and is a winner this track and trip, so obvious chance; many others with chances; I think Mazari looks well in and will be suited by the going, while Glamorous Scandal runs well at this track and could run on into the places

R7: Louis Gem gets a tongue-tie and should prefer the step up in trip; certainly has the ability to win this if handling the ground; Illuminate a winner last time over this track and trip on soft conditions, so obvious chance again; Shezaglo also tries the trip, but some stamina doubts for me; Ocean Forest may have needed her last run, so possible inclusion

R8: Varina ran close to Due Diligence on debut on soft ground - last run disappointing, but if I remember that was after a false start, so I think will prove hard to beat here; Southern Charm goes back to the minimum trip and is the obvious danger, while Capitiana has been steadily dropping in the ratings, so could perhaps surprise if returning to the form which saw her won twice last year this time

R9: Disappointing field imo for the Fillies Mile; if we get here I think Caralluma is the right one; Due Diligence and Gee for Go obvious dangers, while the others seem held, although both Castel Durrow and Paton's Tears have only had 2 runs, so may be better than rated

Enjoy B)
