A standing ovation for the small handful that filled their pockets while destroying SA Racing, and a bow to those that blindly supported the small handful and also for those who were silent during the destruction time

Cant wait to see what the BR process come up with.
if they dont tackle all the individual SILOS that exist the boat will just continue to take on water.
Owners and Punters dont seem to be getting a voice at the table which also burn the industry long term.

Another thing i have been wondering...
What happens to the RA if Betfred wins the bid... Or even MOD?
They won`t really have any bargaining tool, if Phum are sold?
PS i`m hearing FRED has hit the front in the race

Betfred.com, the company's online gambling site, is based in Gibraltar and registered as Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited.

Davy if Betfred are keen lets hope it goes that way seriously. The amount of information us owners have seen on this whole issue, especially the one on stakes is disgraceful, totally in the dark.Personally it would be a miracle if they could pull a foreign investor in with better expertise than that which is or has been leading us into this position.

Yes Oscar not sure what is happening behind closed doors with FRED and task team?
Got this terrible urge for another song, hope they are not having too many cups of tea and damaging the infrastructure.

Ya Dave I wonder which date they will ask for the next postponement and what the odds. I’ve always found it interesting they say owners don’t care about stakes, if true then why not make all stakes for all racing in SA ZERO as from tomorrow and let’s see how that works out?

Racing Post
William Hill is to close another 119 betting shops as profits plunged at the bookmaker due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, the company is to repay £24.5 million in furlough funds to the government following what they described as a "robust recovery" in recent weeks since the return of mainstream sport and betting shops reopening.
Unveiling its financial results for the first six months of 2020, William Hill said net revenue had fallen by 32 per cent to £554.4m, while adjusted operating profit was down 85 per cent to £11.4m, although the bookmaker said that was ahead of expectations.
Last year William Hill closed 713 betting shops in response to the financial blow from the government's crackdown on FOBTs.
The bookmaker's betting shops were able to reopen after lockdown on June 15 and the company reported "flat" like-for-like net revenue during the last two weeks of the reporting period as the estate began trading again.

The RA will become like a golf club, “happy hour“ at the 9th, buy one get one free in the club house.. How sad it’s become or about to become... Racing.. insignificant!! And no Kelvin to help keep it open at the Vaal 🍺 🍺 look at least we will be allowed to race in shorts, so says Fred, now we talking.
