That was a bad run,not fit I would say.

For a race meeting like this I really wish they would have gotten stable comments for trainers runners,as you will hear at a later stage who was having prep runs. In the days before lockdown they would have done that.

I guess that puts to rest the debate over travelling stable jockeys, they finished 1 and 2.

The punter just has to hope the trainer has brought the horse to the races fit.
You can read all the form you want but if the horse is not fit and needs the run the form book really doesn't mean much.

Sadly, I heard this morning that the connections have not put a cent on African Warrior as the word is that he has gone "off". This after I took each ways on him. I still wonder why they even race horses like this and priced closer to the top.

Secondly, today is De Melo's day to show no interest. I watched his rides in race 2 and 3. Dropped both horses to last and never moved a muscle on either of them. Only jockey that showed no animation compared to the other rides in the straight.

Marcus has so far had two favorites placed there and both have failed to find anything in the finish and have missed the top three.
If we could bet in running those would be the runners I would lay.
Not saying they can't win sometimes but that is a very tricky position.
