Neither I nor should anyone care who exists after CV19. I study form and the form tells me that UNLESS we as owners and trainers have a voice we will continue to be at the beck and call of the "inner circle"

Don't forget for 1 millisecond that every single stake holder in racing is GUILTY of where we are today. Some ( minority) though active actions and MOST (majority) through passive no action.

CV19 is not the cause of the reduction in stakes we all know that.

Back to the majority.

Within that majority lie many sort of players. Some are owners with 1 horse that never felt that bothered with making a statement. Some are trainers with horses owned by key folk that induced them to silence. Some are large owners that felt that running their empires was more important than getting into racings politics and some are trainers that train so many horses they felt this was never going to happen.

either way the majority stayed silent ..... now the situation is dire.

Its dire because even though Im advocating a body representing trainers and owners don't for 1 second think that we are not representing breeders punters grooms vets farriers feed merchants etc.

We are because unless we have a voice going forwards all of the above will be adversely affected.

BUT I cannot in what will become a legal body have signatures from non licensed folk. We will be laughed out of meetings if I have a 3000 signature mandate but 2300 are punters. Im NOT dismissing their value. Im stating that for us to challenge the new RA or the NEW co we need to have numbers which will bring a voice.

So Oscar in long/short. I have over 100 mandates from licensed folk.
Our snap poll is running at about 64% saying NO faith.
Gathering signatures face to face is what Im hoping every single trainer in SA does.

I understand and comprehend fully your position, and believe me I have tried personally to put my views forward to help the racing management in their decisions, they have never ever even listened. However be that as it may, my advise is rather wait and conduct your research properly post the heavy impact COVID-19 is going to have on horse racing in SA. It has not even started yet and its the owners who are going to dictate what will be left of the industry. Of course punters play the major role in racing, there is ZERO doubt of that at all, but without horses there will be no punting, nor horse racing. Management are in a corner and we all know why and what happened however the way it was done stopped anyone from being able to challenge it, so I disagree with the apathy part, there was just no way to stop what happened 20 years ago unfortunately.

I see all the big trainers Snaith, Tarry, De Kock are coming out in support of the " New RA" (without Larry)

And asking we give them all a chance...
