Change of surface and miserable weather will have an impact.
Race 1 Queen Nitocris is the best filly in the race but this trip too short and she has not raced on poly. All of Coastal Storm, Toran's Girl, Hallo Rosie, Heart Stone and Fashion Force have ok poly form.
Race 2 Not much poly form. Cove Fort fair debut run and should be the one to beat if handling the surface. Bold Linngari good improvement last time and gets the 2.5kg claim. Parahelio Alley also fair debut and gets a decent draw. Andrea has never reproduced his good debut behind Brandina, and last two efforts on poly were ok but not great.
Race 3 Elusive Green is fit and well - she was scratched at the start last time supposedly lame, but she was 100% sound when trotted up so ignore that. Unfortunately gets a very wide draw. This field is quite weak, and even with the draw, I would have given her a big winning chance on the turf. The draw is more of a concern with the short poly run-in. I think that she is a bit better on turf, but has run fine on the poly. This is her right trip, so with some luck she could still do it.
If the 2yo Nevertheless handles the poly then she looks a big danger from a good draw. Suzie Mayweather, Winter Orchid and Ginger Rock all look a bit suspect on poly. Profound likes the poly, but also very wide draw to contend with.
Race 4 Professional maiden Conquering King is always thereabouts and he handles the poly. Silvari looks the one to beat. Guthrie has scope for improvement but unknown on the poly. Benevolence and Convention can earn cheques.
Race 5. We try the tongue tie on Wood for the Trees. His best local run was on the poly and he cracks a nice draw. He has quite a bit to do at the weights, but is in with an ew chance. Awakening and Brigadoon Ely are well in at the weights and like the surface
Race 7 Madam Speaker has a decent draw and has run well on the poly. On her best form I make her the one to beat. Klever Kathy has been off form lately, but if bouncing back to her best must be respected. Maverick Girl and Delia's Delight are consistent and should be in the shakeup. Raven Girl, Widow's Lamp and Red Ginger all have very wide draws and will find it tough. Just Chaos could sneak a place from a plum draw.
