SHOOTING STAR (WIN)

1250m Durbanville-12.50lengths of the winner (not striding out)
1250m Durbanville-8.66lengths of the winner (last3 never showed)
1200m Kenilworth-3.30lengths of the winner (last2 steady progress)

And 1 poly run at Fairview 6lengths of the winner 1200m

All runs over Kenilworth and durbanville have been with improvement, so naturally should improve again this race

Race 2 A small but competitive race. I disagree with the betting- for me this is a match between Grand Silvano and Waiting for Rain.
Race 3. A tricky race with so many unraced. The raced 2yos look quite strong, but I would not leave Hearsay and Round the Horn out of quartets. Not much between Too Cute and Dark Crystal on debut, while Sweet Karma has solid form.
Race 4 With the scratchings, high Key and Bold Vision look the best of the older horses. Imperial Rage is a promising sort but a tough task for a 2yo this trip.
Race 5 Silver Dazzle is the one to beat. Billi Ann and Timeless Tiara have plenty scope for improvement
Race 6. A very competitive race. We have Parade March running- he stays the trip well and he is moving nicely at home. Decent ew chance.
Race 7. Very difficult race and a upset quite likely
Race 8 Another open race. We have Twin Falls running. She has consistent form behind some decent sorts, and is handily weighted now, A good ew chance.
Race 9. Lanza carries a big weight and there are a few that are better handicapped. We were pleased with his comeback run last time, and he will have come on from that. Despite the weight, he can't be ignored as he is the class horse here.

Bob Brogan replied the topic: Kenilworth
Ma mate thinks Too Cute was given a soft one last time

Think we can say the same about Aye Aye. Jockey hardly moved a muscle and was then directly behind falling horse at the 100m mark. The 8 length behind finish doesn't do the run justice imo
