Durbanville, 20/04

Just like the meeting on Tuesday, lots of two year olds taking on each other, and some taking their chances against open company. For me the first two races could be key to making some money because the two year olds compete against each other.

R1, Kamadeva, from a decent draw looks the one to beat, if a first timer pops up and rolls the favourite, oh well:( .

R2, whilst not ideally drawn, Sanskrift looks like she will break out the maiden ranks if repeating her debut effort. The danger must be Linda Loves Lace from a much more favourable draw than on debut.

Races 3 and 4 could become tricky, the 2 years olds look competitive enough to hold their own against some moderate older horses.

R3, 2 year old Captain's Darling on some moderate 3 year olds. Again not ideally drawn, but does look open to the most improvement.

R4, Rio Querari, if Kamadeva arrives in the first race, then this should shorten. Having said that, taking on older horses, so not cut and dried, but the older horses look fairly moderate.

Races 5 and 6, I am playing to beat the juveniles over ground.

Let me continue, just had a wi-fi query with my service provider.

R5, first race of the day where the juveniles are taking on the older horses beyond 1200m, so based on the wfa scale over the distance, I'll play to beat the 2 year olds, and I'll row in with Lip Service. Blinkers fitted and draw 1, should be thereabouts, or so I'm hoping.

R6, again taking on the 2 year olds over 1400m with Marauding. A repeat of his last effort and he should be involved in the finish - again, or so I'm hoping.

R7, whatever beats Apollo Ace wins this race, take your pick.

R8, is a minefield, hopefully it's not a "get out of it" scenario.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Surely Sanskrift can go one better today and win after a very good debut.

Sanskrift 11/10 and Marauding 18/10 for me.

Neither card appeals a lot but that Turffies card is shocking.

I'm keeping stakes extremely low today.
