FRANCIS SEMELA bombed out

Would encourage the same swift and severe judgement be applied unilaterally...like "in and out running of horses" for example. How many warnings do these trainers get before they are penalised significantly?

......does anyone really know why the stipes looked into this ride.....obviously the horse was fancied and to an untrained eye simply looks like the horse was fighting for its head.....but closer you see the rider is not assisting and has given just enough reign ....for it to look like it was out of control....a seasoned jock would have defended himself by saying the horse was a problematic ride as in the Tapanzee case.....it seems like the stipes were looking for Semela to slip up or they were tipped off.....can anyone get the relevant stipes report that lead to an inquiry......:S

I have not got time now, but will find a ride by Striker recently that made my blood boil. Cantered the horse down the straight two thirds back in the field, last 300m's waves the crop alongside the horse and finishes 5th or 6th. Never, ever was that horse given a chance to obtain it's best finishing position.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) An inquiry will be opened into Workrider F Semela’s riding of KINDAVAR.
b) KAYLA’S EAGLE (+C Mabaya) cast its left front shoe in running.
c) At approximately the 700m FUYU (+S Tshobosa) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed between KAYLA’S EAGLE (+C Mabaya), which rolled in, and SEA OF ROSES (+P Mlangeni), which rolled out simultaneously.
d) At approximately the 500m KINDAVAR (+F Semela) ran onto and clipped the heels of SENORITA AMOR (+S Siphika).
e) Workrider C T Ndlovu, the rider of UPSKILLED, accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. UPSKILLED, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P A Peter advised. (GF)

What about going after the people that "influenced " Simela....like in the Hansie Cronje incident?

Or is going after the small fish the modis operandie?

Their attempt at showing accountability is quite opposite, IMO!

One of my hero's ... methinks the best we have produced {friendly wave to Muis} ...but is exactly how I see it. Would love to know what the 'riding instructions' were. On the other hand ...do trainers still give Striker instructions?

....and there we have it....do whistles have to be blown for stipes to look into these matters.....in the inquiry someone had to lead evidence that the riding instructions were not followed and ask why.....a smarter rider may have had a better excuse for not following instructions but the fact remains that Semela in this case did not follow the instructions and failed to give reasons for not doing so.....
