Secret Ambition to be just off the pace around the turn and then put in a run, i will be first in the queue to collect, well thats the theory.

If the SA betting is correct, then the favourite, Muuntazah, is the right one

My absolute last throw of the dice with Desert Encounter. Very poor day today, have more chance of Arsenal signing me up.

Just have to wonder about that ride from Bernhard. Not suggesting anything untoward just poor positioning . Not the best ride imo.

He was on a pointer the race before as the only one who could have forced the pace,Heavy Metal, missed the break badly.
You back him now and he manages to run three wide in a ten horse field.
No chicken I still think he's the worst UK champion ever.

was not that bad a ride on Marineresco. I just thought they went too slowly in the first part of the race and he was in what should have been a decent place to run on from, but the stayers just picked it up from handy and there wasn't enough course to catch them as they were not stopping....winner went through the middle and was lucky to find a gap or jockey would hVe also been criticised.

Why not keep the horse in South Africa?

......so the pace was not great but a horse that is more prone to coming from off the pace on a left hand track should not be on the rail.....Bernard made a run on the rail and when he saw no way through he had to check and back out off the rail run and the lengths he lost in that poor maneuver is how far he finished behind the winner......
