Great to see the Scotsman down here. Yes, these folks are real Racing people down here. I am always amazed at their love of Racing and of the horse and at how easy it is to build a sort of "fan club" with the on course Punters here. They respect you if you are honest with them and genuinely try to help them. They cheer your winners and also sympathise with you when you get beat. It really is like years ago, pity the numbers are not the same.

Besides the dining upstairs, there are a few local "secrets" downstairs offering some really good , value meals as well as a braai for us Saffers... and some music too.
It may not be perfect, but it is still very good Racing down here, by comparison to....

Could not agree with you more Louis.
We had a drink with band that played in the Lighning Shot bar downstairs as they were also playing at the Sands on Wed.
They have been in the game for years and have a special harmony together, they just added a lass to their line up and she happened to be in the band that played us into New Year at our new local in Kloof.
So its a small world down here in KZN.
If you wondering why an auld man like me is posting at this time of the morning?
Well Louis also has me on the Wonder Water he gives to the horses

I would like to add that between the Midlands and Kloof they have their own unique weather system down here.
