The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe will be the race event of Sunday, October 7, 2018, with the elite of gallopers aged 3 and over from all over the world on the 2,400m of the Longchamp ring. Title holder, ENABLE has made a successful comeback and is moving to achieve the double. She will have to fear first the presence of PATASCOY, regular and able to make a sensation, WALDGEIST, at the top of her art, and SEA OF CLASS, supplemented on her recent demonstrations across the Channel. Then there is TALISMANIC, second of the Foy Prize, STUDY OF MAN, with blinkers on this occasion, KEW GARDENS, winner of the last St Leger Stakes, and HUNTING HORN, beaten by Bruntland last month on this track.
The base :
10: ENABLE
Winner of eight of her nine outings, Enable is the current champion at the gallop. A winning casual favorite of the King George VI last season, she easily dominated the Bow. After a long absence, she remains on a success in Hampton Park, in view of this goal for a doubled envisioned. Frankie Dettori will always be in charge. Favorite logical.
The Outsider TQQ:
12: PATASCOY
Son of Wootton Bassett, Patascoy aligns quality performance and could create a surprise in this classic. An excellent finisher to snatch second place in the Jockey Club Award in the spring, he finished second in the Prix Guillaume d'Ornano ahead of Study of Man. Well placed in the stalls and always giving the best of himself, he should fight for places on the podium.
5: WALDGEIST
Waldgeist will be the best French chance. Highly esteemed in his debut and only beaten by Brametot in the 2017 Jockey Club Prize, he then had some difficulties to recover his means. Now, he's back to the top of his condition and aligns victories. Easy winner of the Prix Foy on this route last month, he could return the Arc to France.
19: SEA OF CLASS
Sea The Stars girl, Sea of Class could be the sensation of this test. The protege of W. Haggas is in constant progression and remains on four successes of rank, of which most recent in the Yorkshire Oaks before Coronet. Supplemented by her entourage, she will make her debut on our soil and could be revealed to the world.
7: TALISMANIC
One of the two strengths Godolphin, Talismanic seems to hold the best guarantees. Winner of the Breeders' Cup Turf last fall, he had confirmed by a second place in the Honk Kong Vase. Author of a re-entry in March, he had not confirmed in the Dubai World Cup. He presents himself in his period of the year nevertheless and remains on his second place in the Prix Foy. For a podium.
14: STUDY OF MAN
Son of Deep Impact, Study of Man is one of the best 3 years on the planet and could use his weight to impress his elders. Winner of the Prix du Jockey-Club, he still remains on two halftone outings, but his entourage keeps him in the Arc, with blinkers this time. To resume.
13: KEW GARDENS
Galileo's offspring and resident of Aidan O'Brien, Kew Gardens naturally draws attention to paper. He dictated his law in the Grand Prix of Paris on this course this summer and has just signed a new success in the St Leger Stakes. Ryan Moore will be back at the helm; mistrust.
16: HUNTING HORN
Another student of Aidan O'Brien, Hunting Horn has the means to take a lot in this event. The son of Camelot is intermittent, but remains on a sublime tussle with Bruntland in the Prix Niel, while being beaten on the wire. In ascending form, he could play the leading roles.

Great win by Enable. Will she be around next year to make it a hatrick of wins. She could run in the Breeders Cup Turf this year though.
