.....who needs shoes....last race winner.....drills them on a hard surface barefoot......hope it can walk tomorrow.....was heavily bandaged.....but a Gr8 win for the young Erasmus......

.......that looks like burrows being dug by those Yellow Mongoose(Meerkat family) that one sees scurrying across the course....they are out of food source and are digging for buried insect larvae.....and the rain may help because the larvae will then exit the dry earth .....:dry:.....a proactive course manager should place feeding stations with bone meal on the inside of the course ....and not try poison them as they(the Yellow Mongoose) in the summer months stop grass foliage insects from destroying the the turf.....
