.....thought it strange on the date 25/9/2018....a Tuesday....but yes they do have the date fixed in their racing calendar.....2 days after their Raffles Cup meeting on Sunday 23rd....and no racing in Japan ....so Moreira is going to be a big draw card for this event..... :woohoo:

.....just heard the Singapore on course commentators talking about the upcoming challenge......
they say Moreira has to get permission from the JRA (Japanese Racing Authority) before being allowed to travel and compete....so not a certainty...

......although the game is supposed to be about horse "power.".... and only if all horses were equal then its the jock on top that makes the difference.....I still believe that the Asian team will have a big home side advantage....with Moreria (Brazil) able to get much more out of his mounts and on a track where he has honed his saddle mastery....while Duric (Aus) is also a master on this track also has the ability to judge many of the mounts as he has thrown a leg over most the horse population in Singapore.....the junior Troy See is the only home grown racing mad lad....also has plenty talent...while the competition has each at least one a bit of a rougher cowboy type rider and not really used to the tighter left hand set up....which needs more tactics than individual heroics....also think that the softer touch from the only lady rider also may pay a few dividends too...... as horses there seem to perform more to the hands than the push and shove and the rocking windmill whippers.....
