Race 6. Silver Laurel was never in the race last time from a very wide draw, and I feel that the 1900m the time before was a touch too far. Cracks draw 1 today and should be very competitive. Equestris is consistent and also gets a nice draw must be respected. The younger Giovanna has to contend with a wide draw but has scope for improvement and with luck in the running could challenge.
I don't know what to make of Night at the Proms- ran a good second over 1000m penultimate run 29/12/2017 in a Novice beaten half a length at level weights by a filly rated 56. Ran again last Friday 1300m and tailed off, and dropped a further 2 in the ratings to 42. She was once a 74, and won her maiden over 1400m. If she can repeat the penultimate run, then this filly is chucked in 5.5kg underweight. Clearly unreliable, and amazing that the stipes did not question the trainer to explain the improved run on 29/12 nor the abysmal run last Friday.
Race 3 Nicole should be a banker
Race 8 Game Girl and Sao Paulo should fight it out
