Without wanting to sound controversial, I don't believe a horse like Trip To Heaven should be allowed to race. Whether you back him or go against him, you fcuked if you do, and you fcuked if you don't. You back him, he loses 2 to 3 lengths and loses by 0.20 - FCUK. You go against him, he loses 2 to 3 lengths and wins by 0.30 of a length - once again, FCUK, you ran second. The game is hard enough, to hell with that for a game of soldiers.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

7 years 5 months agoI know the feeling because he is so good yet so unreliable? However, his win rate is just less than 1/3 . His place rate about the same . So actually not that unreliable.bayern wrote: Without wanting to sound controversial, I don't believe a horse like Trip To Heaven should be allowed to race. Also because of his known issue if you want to have a go his odds are likely a lot better than they would be based on his talent alone, yet he keeps the other fancied runner odds from being uninteresting if you fancy them. So in my opinion is actually a good horse to have in a race despite that feeling that he might screw you

Imvho, and on top of that, I will make a very bold call, based on my beliefs  I am on the belief that there is no better jock in SA than Richard when it comes to timing on exiting the gates... I think he is an absolute master... Now I am not going to be silly and say TTH won't lose any ground at the start, I will however predict that it will have its best start it has had for ages(probably ever)... And shit in... (waiting for the egg)... But like I said, just my deluded opinion....

Well he got the good start.
I honestly think the horse just doesn't like pacing it out amongst other horses. I remember him going to the front in one race and obliterating a good field over 1400m I think.
Either way, a bit below expectation but not a terrible prep for the CFC.
