With Formgrids they have had technical problems well before the last. I subscribed for a year, and from a technical point they could not activate my account nor refund me. I must also remind you that Formgrids had various technical issues in the past which had the site go down.

"Kobus" Wiese?

Jurgs wrote: This is a letter penned by Markus Jooste to Steinhoff staff.

He has voluntarily termed what he did as BIG MISTAKES.

Time will tell if the BIG MISTAKES were intentiona

He has taken all the blame.

According to FORBES Kobus Wiese had lost $2.1 billion by 11h40 on Wednesday. This equated to 54.2% of his net worth.

Whichever way one looks at it, Markus Jooste has caused serious and possible irreversable harm to many many people which may run into billions and billions of dollars.

Did he see the writing on the wall when he changed ownership of all his horses from his personal name into the name of Mayfair. Although the downfall took place overnight, it must habe been known to be coming for some time to some especially to Markus Jooste.

Few have considered why he resigned as a director of Phumelela and why not many of the hundred others companies where he is a director. What, if anything, has happened in Phumelela that we have not been told about. Is it financial irregularities?

" Hi there,

Firstly I would like to apologise for all the bad publicity I caused the Steinhoff company the last couple of months.

Now I have caused the company further damage by not being able to finalise the year-end audited numbers and I made some big mistakes and have now caused financial loss to many innocent people.

It is time for me to move on and take the consequences of my behavior like a man.

Sorry that I have disappointed all of you and I never meant to cause any of you any harm.

Please continue to live the Steinhoff dream and I must make it very clear none of Danie [van der Merwe – COO], Ben [la Grange – CFO], Stehan [Grobler – executive Group Treasury and Financing] and Mariza [Nel] – Corporate Services, IT & HR] had anything to do with any of my mistakes.

I enjoyed working with you and wish you all the best for the future.

Best regards
Markus."

The best way to interpret the apology is:

I have screwed up. I have made serious money out of the company. I know I have caused big harm to you. I left the mess for you to live with and clean up if you can. I am out of here to try and enjoy my gains obtained by my big mistakes. I enjoyed the ride. The bus has stopped for me to get off. You stay on and endure it all.

I had to have a wry chuckle at the SP justification for censoring comments, something about their high standards. The person administering these standards is apparently a convicted fraudster. You couldn't dream this shit up

As I understand the situation regarding Steinhoff, the Auditing company-Deloitte-were not prepared to get the green pen out and sign off the Financial results.Because of this and the fact that the unsigned figures were being forwarded, there was an immediate loss of confidence in the Steinhoff shares.
With the huge sell off, the shares have crashed.
The CEO resigned and now Christo Wiese has instituted an enquiry,to be undertaken by PWC to reveal the true financial situation.
As I understand, from what we have been informed ,that is the current situation.
Am I missing something.
