Apparently the first 2 races will be abandoned. Will start from race 3

I know that's the bottom line. But I'm only asking from the perspective of actually having the race run.
They've already forked out the cash for the party on-course, they may as well run the big one if they can.

Remember it's not just about whats happening at Turffontein racecourse....there's international TV rights to consider as well.

Couldn't agree more, I'm literally pulling the last of the little hair I have left on my head out waiting for any sort of update and to make things worse Cecil is in studio falling over his words as usual. So frustrating

I'm not sure if there are any people oncourse for the party - also could you imagine if you had booked tickets saw the rain and decided you would only leave for the track later and when you get there the feature has run hours before the off - they should have rescheduled to tomorrow starting at 11 but there is no clear answer and your point has merit as do all the other opinions - very difficult one BUT it occurs so often that a plan B should be in place way before tickets are sold
