Vaal???

Good afternoon boys, what are your thoughts for Vaal Thursday?

Still jet-lagged but here goes my tuppence:

R1 "Broadsword" 2nd time of asking? Or can "Ovideus" spring a debute surprise?
R2 Striker 7th choice partner finally gets to "Julia's Wedding" - lol!
R3 Although only 2yrs old "Lake Tahoe" looks ahead of these - beat to win.
R4 An extremely hard race - a case can be made for most = skip!
R5 Another well handicapped affair - pass!
R6 Again, I'm choosing a 2yr old over elders with Lucky's "Volley to Victory"
R7 "Starra Mennica" to take advantage of the 6kg from "Her Calling".
R8 Another hard one! Hunch for the pace King Striker and "Joshua the Bold"


My main fancies being:

Lake Tahoe, Julia's Wedding & Starra Mennica in 3 x dbl's and an e/w treble.

With:

Broadsword, Volley to Victory, plus Joshua the Bold added in a small e/w 'Lucky 63'

I am new on the forum, i also make Broadsword an aimer but will be very short i am sure ,6to10 i reckon.

Clairwood looks okay, i am a PA player and here are my selections for those who might be interested- 3 x 8 x 4 8 x 5 7 x 1 4 x 1 4 5 x 3

Fancy woodlands to place and chigger yellam (better 1200m)
also fancy a roughy in the 5th num 8 to run well.

Flew out an hour late last night 20.45 SA Time - cleared customs 8ooam'ish London time.

Went to work for a few hours - half day. Now on net until I get tired - lol!

Didn't sleep a wink on plane - again! So comimg up for 36hrs since I woke up Mon am - yiks!!

thanks- not a bad return at all and if you bankered henny hughes selection could have cleaned up. Vaal sand always tricky and sometimes a hard card to get right. taken big perms only to end up weighing in at end- i will post my pa after i have finished studying - i enjoy going for it and banker 10-1 and bigger sometimes - so follow at your peril. i do think that the matchet fav in 1st is an aimer and i also like a bit of matchet 2nd at 7/2 , that will be my 1st leg banker. enjoy the football
