Agree...goes against the general camaraderie here. We love the banter and sharing of winning and losing bets.

they simply want fame
but only mention the winners after the race finished
no mention of the losing bets
Gambler
No punter would want to publish their losing bets especially if they are big punters.
Every punter win and lose.
I don't know you at all. I don't know whether you work or you a businessman or a full time punter. Let me assume that you work and you pay supertax. That would make you earning 125k per month and therefore you would be paying supertax in excess of 50k per month.
Now... I know of people (a few on ABC) that sometimes LOSE in excess of 50k per month....big deal right???. Well not so if you play between between 6k to 10k PER DAY (depending of venue).
So to answer your question.... yes punters lose and they lose big time but there is no need to advertise it. I call myself a punter and not a gambler (as you do) because the difference is that I treat punting as a business. The aim of the game is to make a profit and yes there will be days maybe a week without profit.
At my age (60) I certainly will not go back to a day job. I love what I do..ie enjoy life and let nothing bother me.

My only post on this topic: I know some serious punters/gamblers. One thing they never do, is talk about how much money they made, wagered, lost etc.
But, hey, to each his own. Whatever floats your boat, I guess
