Anyone remember what Puller or Laff predicted last year?

Not too many experts predicted either Power King or The Conglomerate.

 I think as punters we tend to over complicate things!!! For eg, following horses, looking at weights and draws watching gallops and form studying (those things are important) but still sometimes we don't get it rite   then you get a person who goes to the tote and picks their FAVORITE NUMBER,NAME OF HORSE OR EVEN THE COLOR OF THE HORSE AND WINS

And those punters feed the bookies in the long run

Not too many experts predicted either Power King or The Conglomerate.

Graham Hawkins predicted both these winners and this year he fancies Safe Harbour.

Any horse in july field can win. All primed to perfection and all 18 trying their level best (unlike most races). Recent years The Conglomerate was 25s Power King ,Pomodoro & Wylie Hall also big odds. Take your personal fancy and play smalls. Load in exotics.

Hats off to Justin, he has brought all his runners in with ideal weights to be competitive in the July.

***Elusive Silva withdrawn from Vodacom July***

Elusive Silva sustained an injury in the Durban July gallops this morning and will not run in this years race.

He came back well after his workout at Greyville this morning, but trainer Justin Snaith noticed his tendon was jarred later this afternoon.

He was scanned immediately by Summerveld Equine and the veterinary surgeon advised that he could take no further part in the 2017 Vodacom Durban July
