I have also never had problems with interbet going back many years with Gary and Johhny
As they are an exchange rather than a bookie i find that limiting bets sound rather strange as the principal with an exchange is purely to match people with opposing views and taking a percentage for handling the administration transactions
They may have changed their exchange policy to more a bookmakers where limits are common

Dave imvho you are not understanding the message. My understanding is they want the guy to bet on the exchanges and not take fixed odds. Interbet also offers the standard fixed odds package as per any other bookie. My apologies if I am incorrect.
I have agreed that interbet are great at clearing deposits and paying out winners promptly. I also agree with some of the posters that the liquidity for "hot" horses in particular is pathetic and in many cases, and becoming now a "norm", they are offering below the offered price. Clearly the buy out with Phumelela has influenced the amount of bookies who support them.

Over the airis 100 percent correct with his statement and i and many others have got this email that fingers has recieved..They lay you the price no stretch on their bookmaking arm and still they limit you to pennies...they have pittance liquidity antepost on the exchange and if theres any trade they just shorten..INTerbet is doing more harm to the bookmaking industry than good and with all the financial clout behind them they should be using this monopolistic exchange to their benefit by offering liquidity as all they are doing is sending us punters to their opposition who will lay 10k to 25k of a horse not 2k...

they are not a bank that does deposits and pay outs - they are a bookie who's main business is laying bets, and in this instance they fail miserably

Well said Fingers , i totally disagree with the term bookmaker being used today as real bookmakers of the caliber of Som Singh would be embarrassed to be associated with these clowns

If you consider how much you could back a horse to win 20 years ago then factor in inflation its a situation that needs to be urgently addressed ..For me if you not prepared to lay reasonable volumes then you shouldnt have a license and whoever polices the bookies must ensure this happens ..You cant have bookmaking firms who have several shops some up to 80 laying pittance bets and sadly its these bookmaking groups who have bought out the independant bookies that have fcuked up the bookmaking industry
