Maybe they dont want the second leg to run before the first leg if there is a delay. Anyway I did post awhile back about the choice of venues that they choose for Foreign Meetings. Sometimes I am bamboozled myself.
Naresh,I suspect they don't really care, until the pools start getting affected!

How about this afternoons Jpot Qmix ....the 3rd leg is Turf 1 (all first time juveniles).
They could easily have made the Turf 2nd race leg 4 ,and still finished in the hour.
I would love to hear the strategic rationale for structuring bets in the manner they do!

Not defending them but whoever wins the Jackpot Quickmix, thereafter can cash their tickets and wager their bets on the PA and Pick 6 and thus creating more 25% takeouts.

U very sharp Naresh,u are spot on and the operators don't care about the punter, for them it's about the bottom line and taking every penny they can from the punter.Punters don't complain and continue to fund the beast because they all addicts,me included.lol.

My wife has left me because I am a compulsive gambler. I’d do anything to win her back.
Poker is like sex – everyone thinks they’re the best, but most people don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
What’s the difference between prayer in church and prayer in a casino? In a casino, you really mean it.
What’s the difference between a poker player and a dog? In about ten years, the dog quits whining.
If not for the medication utilization, ruffian gambling, and drinking I would be an awesome catch
In case you’re playing a poker amusement and you check out the table and can’t tell who the sucker is, its you.
I was told that there was no feeling better than walking around the casino with a pocket full of chips. It wasn’t bad, but now I’m still trying to get the smell of chicken salt out of my
pants.”
A doctor takes a call from one of his colleagues late on a Tuesday night. “We need a fourth poker player tonight,” said his colleague. “I’ll be there as soon as I can!” said the doctor. As he was getting ready to leave the doctor’s wife asked him, “Is it serious love?” The doctor replied, “Yes dear very serious. There are three doctors at the scene already!”
If you must play,
decide upon three things at the start:
the rules of the game,
the stakes,
and the quitting time.

This is actually a very misguided attempt to boost the pool. Their rationale would be that serious punters will load that leg as the only way through would be to take field. What they dont get is 99.9% of punters who had budgeted their cash to play this bet will now look elsewhere. Some potentially will spend this money on soccer bets at the competition. I dont get this obsession with attempting to create mega payouts. Whilst the lone punter who scoops the seven figure payout will undoubtedly appreciate this, the thousands who feed the pot will invariably drift away to other more easier to win on bets.
