Its crazy how they start in front of the stands. The noise must freak the horses out. No wonder there has been no winner of the triple in 30 years. Big Brown very calm compared to the others though.

Big Brown eased at the top of the straight. 38/1 winner. Crowd stunned into silence.
I commented to a mate "Can you imagine what the bookies will make if the horse looses.
I am sure the crowd is booing.
Jockey interviewed says nothing wrong but horse ran out of steam so he pulled him up. What a F#*! up.
It did look like the horse did not have a finish in him though.
Trainer asking what went wrong. Answer wrong Jock. Vet found nothing wrong.

The crowd dont sound that appreciative now!
Looks like the race with Curlin could be on!
Horses are not machines and 3 tough races in 5 weeks is actually madness..

Terrible ride in my opinion. Started by riding up the other horses asses and then fought with him for a large portion of the race reins tight as hell and then pulled him up when there was nothing left. This just pisses me off. No money on the race so I am not talking from the pocket, but I would really have loved to have seen history made here.

I always feel that horses loose energy when jockeys fight them during the race. This oke should have just let him go to the front like he wanted to.
The jockey is to envolved with the hype and bullshit instead of winning the race. I would have preffered Albarado on Big Brown.

On 2nd thoughts that might be the last we see of him, the owners might not want to risk him getting beat again...

I dont see how the jock could have been the difference, the horse had nothing in the tank, no steroids this time, an interupted prep, injury concern and didnt settle. All these factors add up...

Watch the race again if possible. I f he had got to the front instead of being fought to settle he would have had a better chance. Watching the race again went outside of the second placed horse and the second placed horse pushes him out six wide most of the way round.
A well organised race!

There will be a fallout here guaranteed. The trainer is still trying to find something wrong. Must be acid.
I will definitely looking for news results on this debacle

This, of course, is total b. s.
There are two owners: IEAH Stable and Paul Pompa. The latter owns 25 percent and the former owns 75 percent.
FYI, the minority partners sold a fraction of his interest. The majority partner sold nothing.
Reason: the horse has not pedigree and is not worth anywhere near what the PR says. The majority owners did not sell because then the cat would be out of the bag on his actual stud value.
