Fairview...
R1 Don't like the low draws much for big field sprints on the Fairview turf but nevertheless I think In Your Face is the right one. Most of the field look mediocre at best so, at prices, Messageinabottle has been nibbled. No places in 7 d runs and prefers further but has some creditable efforts over 1400 so in this field might land a blow. With the Shams coming back to form I have also nibbled 7th Empire, for not much reason more than that!
R2 Have no fewer than 8 horses noted so expecting a competitive race. I am chancing Chit Chat. Think that last run off a 31 week break was respectable enough, especially considering she was drawn 12/13 at Durbanville. Zackey up and if not suffering 2nd run after a rest syndrome and travelled well etc, I think she will be right there. Again, with the Shams showing better lately, I think Let Her Fly will be in the vicinity. Too many others to mention etc but back on the turf and hopefully getting a trouble free run, I have nibbled Uppie's Joy. Shining Through and Stanley's Last are others that might bolster the quartet.
R3 At the price, back on the turf, I like Emerald Island e/w. En Gee Oh and, despite the draw, Warren Place could be thereabouts.
R4 I think Man Of The Cloth has a decent shout here and is my e/w. Once more, with the Shams showing up again, I think there might also be some value in Cape Rebel. The d might be an issue but if lasting could well be a factor. Rush In is better than 40s imo in this field so I;ve had a wee nibble.
R5 Kingvoldt appeals a little e/w but the trainer states he might need it. I think he and Sir Duke might upset Villa Del Largo today.
R6 I Travel Light
R7 Aquinata
R8 Mixed Emotions (50c e/w on Stone Town)
Be(s)t of luck to all

I see why they nibbled Message in a Bottle .............they had been waiting for a top rider on top to improve its form....lol
(sorry engels ,did you mean the stable or a personal nibble- if it was personal that was quite a find-well done)

lol no apologies needed Rob (n thanks). Me, of course, but I have every sympathy with your words, it was in many ways by default, I just thought it looked a mighty poor field and actually thought the second would piss it. But there is often one in those races which comes good and farks everything, had 2nd n 3rd in an exacta... ho hum lol
