Looking at the fields for the sprints, how come the fillies race min weight are 52 kg and the open race is 50 kg min weight?

3 1 200m WSB HERITAGE 1200 HANDICAP 150 000
(Non-Black Type)
For all Horses
Sex Allowance of 2,5 kg for Fillies and Mares, subject to a
minimum weight of 50 kg
Maximum Field Size = 28 runners + 2 reserve runners
Entry Fee: R 171 (Fee R 150 + VAT R 21) (Non Refundable)
Declaration Fee: R 342 (Fee R 300 + VAT R 42)
4 1 200m WSB HERITAGE 1200 FILLIES & MARES 150 000
HANDICAP (Non-Black Type)
For Fillies and Mares
Maximum Field Size = 28 runners + 2 reserve runners
Entry Fee: R 171 (Fee R 150 + VAT R 21) (Non Refundable)
Declaration Fee: R 342 (Fee R 300 + VAT R 42)
The conditions are different, I am not sure intentionally or we have another "problem". The colts race prescribes the 50kg minimum the fillies race does not. The Racing Bureau/Handicappers are 100% in enforcing it as they have. I wonder who is responsible for this situation as these were clearly meant to be identical races surely? There are going to be some pissed trainers and I see LG has already scratched two of his at the "minimum" weight so I am presuming they were under sufferance, perhaps he has more info?

Lol - looks like nowadays all that is required to be an expert is an ability to read

But you raise an interesting point regarding the difference in the conditions ....could it be that somebody just forgot (blush) to include the 'subject to a minimum weight of 50 kg's' into the conditions of the fillies & mares race ?

I read that many 'experts' are divided on the (perceived?) draw bias; thinking about it logically, on the 'inside' track, inside draws have proven to be advantage - and outside draws on the outside track - so I guess on Saturday it could prove wise to go to either the inside or the outside - just don't get stuck in the middle?

Thanks guys i asked a few folk as i couldnt understand
Seemingly because the min weight was left of the fillies race in error ,the Handicapper decided to be a stickler for the rules

Yes guys, somebody forgot to add in the 50kg clause in the fillies race. I have had to scratch my two because of the extra sufferance.

According to a tipping expert who charges a nominal fee the pace of the race determines the result not the weight!!!!
