Marinaresco......Winter series vs The July 2016

He surely had the last leg of the winter series at his mercy....and then ensuring a R250k bonus?? Was that not more lucrative for the connections? The July is no guarantee!! There is a chance he might not even place in the July.

I honestly thought he would bag the winter series and go for the July next year.

^ Hahaha you might be spot on there Bob

but yeah I think as you say Peekay it's not guaranteed he'll even place but the lure of the July is too strong and I think they are confident of a big run. They have the horse to do it - I know on paper he's beaten nothing but he's really, really good I can tell you that much and certainly deserves his place there. Reminds a little of Futura couple years back, don't think he beat too many good things before his July 3rd.

Problem, if the big guns that we are expected to scratch run, Marinesco might need the panel to beleive the hype

Especially if we have big winners of the Cup Trail and Jubilee

For what it means Marinaresco is the second highest for volume traded for the July according to Interbet. That is second to Solid Speed.

So much trade and that is not even the final field. Just crazy.

Another case in point where the prestige is way more important than bagging any sort of winnings.

Not entered for 3rd leg and right now with Abashiri and Legal and even Rabada seeming like they definitely running it seems like he could be found wanting for not having run in any race of note in kzn

Bela bela nominated for the garden province
Marinesco will definitely make the field

I still believe you need a derby horse to win the July and can't see Marineresco or black arthur finishing in front of its my turn...but luck in running if he gets in can see him finish in the money...last run was impressive but there was no black arthur or its my turn in the race.
