R1 e/w's, some real desperation efforts but, although I'm expecting a blank, it gives me an interest without disturbing the dust from the wallet
Have done a miniscule patent on R's 4, 5 n 6.
R1 Gypsy's Inn
R3 Chestnut
R4 Dahlia's Arrow
R5 Princess Maggie
R6 Aquabuoy
R7 Lolita
R8 Fair Colour
R6 Mississippi Rising e/w possibilities
Be(s)t of luck to all

Race 1 - Watch Me Run can be difficult and not great out of the gates but has run some fair races and could improve today.

is it just me that thinks the grooms would know the horses best?
Granted the riding skills can sometimes be not up there however--I think it could be form results.
I always think that in a work riders race that every jock is trying. .. perhaps all not to my liking but all trying.
Grooms would know their own horses but these are WORKRIDERS who ride work for various stables (some are retained by bigger yards) . Grooms have to go through the workriders course before they can ride in races -

I love the work riders meetings. Some of our established jocks could learn a thing or two from these guys especially with regard to riding horses out. Sure, their skill levels are nowhere near the qualified jocks, but I find it gratifying to see a work rider riding for all he is worth in the hope of getting a poor 5th place. I for one would like more of these days carded.
