After watching the replays I feel even worse - Would expect that from a rider having his first try but really for someone that's ridden a few I am shocked. Laird will do well to put it into another race quickly(this was like a grass gallop) and put Lerena or JP up and it won't get beat!

I hope the Jocks don't follow the example of the workriders in the opener and give each other some room off the rail

Again, another shocker, didn't even try to get a clear run, in fact hid it away behind horses until it was too late whereas Girl on the Run was with this one and Gav gave it a much better ride.

I really feel sometimes like jocks are instructed to give underdone horses just an easy "educational" run and doesn't allow the horse to run to their ability but then, that is only my opinion :(

a few share this sentiment , some feel that they also do this so next time when they run properly they benefit from the better handicap and they can punt them in.
all just theories i've heard though, whether they have merit I don't know.

This is one of the reasons that I believe that the NHA fail in their duty...............surely a lot more jocks should be asked what instructions were given/or what was agreed re- tactics.
It is info punters are entitled to,going forward!
We rely on regulators to ask the questions we would like to ask!!!!!!
