Anyone out there with a decent case to be made for Off Ramp in the last? From the replay of the last run he pretty much had a clear run whereas a host of others who finished like trains, but couldn't quite there, had plenty traffic issues. Hard for me to believe OR would have held 2nd that day if all had been "fair" in love n war... unless OR had something in reserve and for some reason didn't use it that day but plans to unleash it in full today. So, please, what am I missing or am I seeing things etc? Just don't see why it would be the one supported based on that run. Clanners...?

Engels
The winner of that sprint had a massive advantage, only off ramp and the Fortune ridden horse got close from the inside. The winner came tight up the out side..

It might not look like it from where some of the winners ( draws) came from that day but all the runners drifted to the out side rail..

Even Pigeon flyer drawn 4, dropped out and rounded the field and came up the outside rail to win it`s race

Baksteen ,always left an impression with me in JHB, not had a run for 5 months but one to keep an eye on today, will most likely need the run if it`s been rested

Bass obv likes the horse as he`s raided KZN and Jhb

Morning Len, which of them do you" favour" bud? There are a couple of his that I quite like today also, but they are not perhaps his most obvious.

For what its worth Engels, I like Weekend Temper today. Big drop in ratings and could be the right one in that field.

Bob, true to say they went outside that day and thus favoured high numbers but, though admittedly that race was the biggest field, the other 1200 race winners that day were drawn 1, 3 and 4. The point is if you could get the right position you could win from any draw. Look at the respective positions and traffic issues from 200m out for OR against say Queen's Jet and Dazzling Dancer... if they had all had the passage OR had then different result imo.

I do believe the RA replays have a slightly improved screen for viewing today :)

TT... good man!

Thanks Oscar (and all the best despite my words above! ;) lol)

The horse drawn 4 switched to the wide outside

The horse drawn 3 ended up 2 from the outside

You needed the outside that day big time

The horses that finished in the places in the last race that day all switched to the outside, was not so much the draw but the outside going played a massive part on results that day ( every race )

Bob, I am agreeing with you. I am simply saying, once there from the low draw, they all had every chance (if getting a run) and that is supported by the other results that day. In the previous race for example those drawn 1-5 finished in the top 7 places of a 12 runner field.
