Aaaah, so the saddle cloth numbers are the same as the draws.

South African pedigree connections regarding Kentucky Derby runners:
(1) Ocho Ocho Ocho is out of a Horse Chestnut (SAf) mare
(3) Materiality is by Afleet Alex whose damline traces to Hawaii (SAf)
(4) Tencendur's damsire, Hennessy, is out of an Hawaii (SAf) mare
(7) El Kabeir's sire line traces back to Hennessy (see above)

What a fantastic job by Andrew Bonn putting this together, getting over there and saving this event for posterity.
Wishing the whole team the very best of luck and I urge them to take in every second of this wonderful occasion and try to soak in the history and the grandeur of the fastest 2 minutes in sports!!

I read that Stanford is a non-runner so the first emergency acceptor comes in.
Be wary if betting by the numbers. It seems that everyone from 12 upwards will move down a spot and Frammento comes in at 20. Verify before taking bets!

As much as I'd love to see MdK win this with Mubtaahij (also have a soft spot for Ocho Ocho Ocho with the Horse Chestnut connection), I have to believe that the form of some of the US runners in US Gr1 races is much stronger.
For betting interest, I'm thinking of going with a longshot quartet:
Double-rove Frosted & Firing Line with Bolo, Upstart, Dortmund, Keen Ice, Mubtaahij, American Pharoah.
EDIT:
Since quartets are not available to us, I'll go with two roving banker trifectas:
Frosted * the other 7 listed
Firing Line * the other 7 listed
Cost R126 each. Taking a percentage just for fun.
