Turffontein Early Picks : 07th March 2015
Race 1 : Stay away from the babies!!
Will be watching with interest but no stakes for me here.
Race 2 : A competitive looking race, I'm siding with PRINCESS MILO, have a great feeling about her chances today and I'm willing to give her another chance, gets the services of Khumalo who had four winners on Thursday. BIG runner!
Race 3 : Good to see some of the big boys back after a lengthy layoff, they will all need the run badly IMO, on ability alone they must have obvious chances, I'm siding with SHEIKS BRASHEE though who looks great value at some 7/1.
Race 4 : EASY LOVER on paper looks hard to beat... BUT I've decided ONCE again to side with BIG EASY, he's got to get it right, hopefully soon! and the stable has been in great form of late, the run to SILVER SCOOTER was credible BUT the SIRENS CALL formline holds big ACES here, sticking with BE.
Race 5 : SANTA CAROLINA ticks all the boxes and a banker in all my bets!
Race 6 : A few decent 1st timers here, some well bred individuals. MOGOK'S MASTER looks incredibly difficult to beat but I would tread carefully (Got a wake-up on SIR CECIL on Thursday who looked unbeatable... cost me a nice treble - same stable I think, my own stupidity for including SC which I didn't like but was convinced 110%) Either banker MM or go wide, perhaps field if playing exotics.
Race 7 : A competitive RUFFIAN STAKES - AZZIE looks to have a very strong hand and it wouldn't surprise me to see him run 1st and 2nd, as TSANTS mentioned earlier... a whisper about the DE KOCK runner who could be anything! too many deterring factors in this race and another where I would load up. No confident outright selection, just can't decide!
Race 8 : It just doesn't get any easier in this race, WINTER PASSION appeals as she runs well when running fresh, I don't believe 6/1 is value and perhaps if she drifted a little closer to the 10's I would consider a small eachway, FIRE DANCING could be a lurker here... Gee, really competitive this race, looking at another field in my exotics :pinch:
Race 9 : DOING IT FOR DAN ticks all the right boxes, but there are others here with ability in the form of MANX PARK and SEATTLE LADY, taking a chance on DIFD as I can't see anything beating him, hope I'm right
Race 10 : Easiest race to pick a winner, ROSALIE - without breaking a sweat!
Good luck to all and best of luck!!

Spirit of Hamilton 4.5kg's better off with Easy Lover and definitely needed that first run on the highveld, must have a massive chance of reversing the form today.

He's got a Brilliantly genius trainer, IMO the best trainer! No doubt Tarry will have HM fit and well to run a decent race today.

No time for reasons why
But here's the ones that by whom
I will live or cry!
R1 Roman Calamity
R2 ARABIAN ARROW
R3 AURUM POT
R4 Easy Lover
R5 Santa Carolina
R6 Mogok Master
R7 Speedy Suzy
R8 Sarve
R9 Doing It For Dan
R10 DESTINY DRIVEN
Didn't see much in the way of idiots today, though on such days there are usually a few surprises. Doing the ones in caps and the three Spies mentioned in separate patents.
Be(s)t of luck to all

Strydom double :-
R1) Dr Finley X (R3) Greasepaint
R1) Dr Finley X (R3) Greasepaint
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
