Debs you will be very pleasantly surprised just how well looked after and cared for the horses are there, Steph, Corrie (Rockspider) and Bill Human to name a few are very much horse people and animal lovers and their horses get the best care, sadly there has been some negative reports which may or may not have substance but if they do it is without a doubt the exception rather than the rule, I would not hesitate to send a horse there, in fact I encourage my mates to send Corrie horses once they are in their place in Durban and they have had great results and those who have been re homed after their career ends have, without exception, arrived at their new homes in impeccable condition..I know your concern is for the animal and not aimed at any trainer but believe me there is no need for concern..
Give everything but up!

10 years 3 months agoplease don't apologise budd. I am just trying to open up my betting options. Lol.TNaicker wrote:Dean321 wrote:u play that much sport budd?TNaicker wrote: I like playing and watching football but find the betting too difficult since too many options...I'll stick to the tennis and rugby and basketball and volleyball...
Got a tennis and Varsity Cup multiple going...all the tennis in so far...
@Dean321...apologies for any confusion...only sport I myself play is football (and some road-running)...the tennis, rugby, basketball and volleyball refers to sports in which I take bets...
The two Varsity Cup rugby matches I had in multiple with tennis came in so it was a good betting day...

@Dean321...some dodgy business happens in the minor leagues so I avoid the ITF and Challenger tennis events and the "local" / country specific volleyball and basketball leagues...stick to ATP, WTA tennis (though the lack of a dominant serve makes women's tennis a bit of a lottery !!), the Euro leagues volleyball and basketball and the NBA (total match points is a favourite of mine)...
Found that horse-racing has too many variables and the price does not adequately compensate for the risk...

Racing does not need any more closures. Stronger implementation of the Rules yes and perhaps refinement of those rules also but losing anymore venues is the last thing we need.

The majority of trainers in flamingo are honest I'm pretty sure of that but going back to the two horses that cheyne came down to ride who where backed from massive odds, had absolutely no form, and won as they liked, makes me think there is something going on at that centre.Where is this trainer now(I think it was kotze)?Have the stipes looked into this?I have not heard anything about it.I know one of those horses has changed trainer and has run absolutely no where near that form of his win.I think that trainer made huge money and ran.Things like this will always lead people to believe flamingo park is is a bit dodgy.

I don't often post but follow SA racing every day, if only to see the nice weather while its tipping it down in England
. I can see why Bingo gets bad press but can honestly say that I think the horses are well treated, you only have to look at them and there condition on the track to see that, you cannot keep a horse that well without looking after them.
The track definitely has issues, you can tell that as when it rains heavy the going is very uneven and drainage poor, you don't see that in America when it rains heavy there they run on slop and I mean it looks like they are on a river but the surface is still sound.
I watched that day D-17 is talking about and although we don't see much pre or post race interview on Betfair we do see some. The owner/trainer I don't know which of Lady Arrow had a winner in a previous race that day and when asked he stated that he really liked the horse, so I was not surprised to see it win, (he speaks very softly but it was there for all to hear! Unfortunately I did not back it due to circumstances at home but normally would have done so
.
Englander did an excellent write up that day and if you had taken time you would have gleaned that he was keen on Terrible Gulch it was a massive price in England and yes I did bet that one (many thanks Englander by the way your pics are awesome lol)
I realise that not everyone has time to study but sometimes that's what it takes to win. I would love to be able to study form like the guys but no one has ever taught me so I have to pick the bones out of what others say.
Its hard to be positive when you lose but being negative only gets you down!
That's it sorry for those that read this post but I thought I would put something down and just say thanks to all those who post +ve or -ve and long may it continue.
Also a big thanks to any trainer/jockey or owner who takes the time to post or be interviewed.

You just proved my point.
Also you are yet to answer the question... How can a horse run 14lenghts and 20lenghts behind then win all in the space of under 40 days ???
I give up
