So typical! Pirates, take your anti GC and KZN racing blinkers off! Plate type races AROUND the country do not fill and why should an owner of a not so good horse that will not be well in at the weights in most plate races make up the fields for the better horse. Take them on in Hcps! In plate races that are/were carded, PE Friday 9 runners, Jhb yesterday 9, today Scottsville 8(3 scratched already) Tuesday Jhb 10( 2nd race), Wed Scottsville 11 and Jhb Thursday 6! Now were is KZN so far behind. It is not ideal but as I said it needs some serious thought at our next meeting.

and so typical of your mindset to reward mediocrity with your above statement..lets punish the good horses by not putting on races for them...joke

Good morning to all! Selections for Sunday 15th February 2015, money chimes are ringing, as some of you know, probably my favorite course. Not my biggest returns but my most consistent returns. Good luck to all today!

Race 1 : GOLDIE COAST over 1600m will be IMPOSSIBLE to beat, 2/1 a great price at some bookies, I'm lumping on to cover my stakes for the remaining races.

Race 2 : VOUS ET VAR will be interesting to watch, not really a betting prospect race for me so I'll be watching this 1st timer, IMO the DE KOCK runner appeals very little to me and probably won't win this race, LECTURE D just because of the stable/jockey combination from the 1st race - could be a double prospect but not for me either. Like I said perhaps I watch and learn.

Race 3 : AVARICIOUS could be anything, one thing certain is he won't be running with my stakes so for those who have struck a bet - Very best of luck to you! BURRA BOY gets the nod here, ultra consistent with three 2nd's, great draw and stable/jockey have been doing well. Ran 2nd last time out in the softer conditions. Very generous 4/1 on offer and I make him the BEST VALUE BET ON TODAY'S CARD!

Race 4 : I will be sitting out here and watching the DE KOCK runner, I'm not keen on this race however i do think ROYAL SELVAN could place @ 8/10 which is probably safer than taking the 7/10 on offer for the favorite. Just my opinion though...

Race 5 : QATAR SPRINGS X QATAR SPRINGS X QATAR SPRINGS - CRIME VICTIM has much to do at the weights to reverse the form, he won impressively from near last in his last to win what looked impossible during the race. He's drawn wide again today which doesn't help and he doesn't jump on terms, that said he might get away with it over the longer trip. QATAR SPRINGS for me is a super solid stayer and he won't be caught today! MOTOMAN deserves a mention and could well win here if reproducing his penultimate, he's down in class and enjoys the softer footing.

Race 6 : VERY open looking contest, perhaps MR WHATEVER if reproducing his penultimate but in all honesty if you're playing exotics I think field pretty much applies here, you could probably get away with including the top six in the betting as PIANO MAN looks well beaten here.

That's me today fellas, good luck once again to all!

Where mediocrity? It is not only here. That is my point and you only pick on GC and KZN.

Craig and Pirates the pair of you should meet up and have a coffee and thrash out your differences face to face. Hopefully if you do, the two of you will then understand where the other is coming from and who knows you may become good friends.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 33/10 Admiral's Eye.............but then saw the going and I can see why............. EXCEPT that in it's run in the very wet,she ran 2,5 lengths to Along Came Polly (at level weights) so will still take a chance at that price, but with a lot less expectation!
Loved this card until wet ,now very wary!!!
