Honestly Craig the only time that SA should have been level with Japan was in the dressing room prior to the match. The players, lead by their world class coach obviously took Japan lightly and paid the heavy price, this result will haunt the Boks long after we are gone. The good thing about this result is that it will inspire other so called small rugby nations to believe that they too can beat a big team. Good for the game in general but, bad for SA rugby.

chicken n chips wrote: the twins must be hiding as there Sharks were really poor. Did Lambie play as I only saw him line up taking kicks. Jannie du Plessis out scrummed by a novice, JP just brushed aside for the winning try, Bismark taken off again early. Never mind boys you will always have the Poly track

Lambie I think suffered most times from a slow service (surely du Preez must start in every game from now on?) - but agreed Lambie did not shine - will Meyer be brave enough to go with the more attacking Pollard against Samoa, - or will he retreat even further by picking Steyn?

And I am not a JP fan (I think he is one of those who is past his best), but nothing he could do about that winning try after Kriel (really needs to improve his defense) was given the big hand-off

I agree, there was no way JP could prevent that try

This was one game you could see right from the start was going to be tough
The Japs believed in themselves and gave their all
The big question now is can they do it again or was this their everything?

Japan meet Scotland on Wednesday. Quick turnaround may be their downfall. Their confidence must be sky high but I think that the Scots will beat them

Oh dear what an awful sporting weekend for my favourite set of twins. It was bad enough that the Boks lost, but then I read that the Sharks also lost and to make matters even worse WP won :cheer:

Imagine how much more you will be looking forward to going back to work next Monday after Samoa dump the Boks out of the WC

To be honest Chicken I will support the boks always but I cant see them beating Samao this weekend, not with this coach and the squad he has chosen

Same goes for me but I made peace with the fact that the Boks wont win it 18 months ago. I saw it coming and was reaffirmed when they lost to Wales, Ireland and the Rugby Championship which if you remember I predicted that they would not win a single match prior to the championship. Not at all happy to have been proven right but this coach is the downfall, and nobody can say anything else as its a fact.

Sharks are the best bet of the weekend to beat a one dimensional Bulls team :woohoo:
