Greg,I think the move has actually improved his chances (I'm not sure his last run on sand didn't appear much better than it was ) ..................only Royal Rumba to beat in my book!!

Sugar Prism
1) I didn't take a bet so not talking from my pocket.
2) The horse did have the form to win the race.
Few minutes before the race Julie mentioned she had spoken to the trainer who said the horse had NO chance of winning.
She also mentioned that the trainer said the distance was wrong etc.
Horse wins...... ???????
Yes, it's no real surprise the horse won given the form but it's really weird the trainer would make a comment that his horse got no chance but still wins.
Great way to welcome any new punters with this honesty

Not mad about the mile for Tip a Champion, would have preferred him over the 7 furlongs.
Agree that The Royal Rumba is the one to beat.....Don't leave out Lisnoble!!!

He said his stable was out of form and if you listened he still believes it is so - The horse works herself up and they WANTED her to run on sand not Grass - Also form shows she liked Poly and over further(The 1450m Sand is a hard race unlike the 1400m straight ) - He gave his opinion which you can use or not - I chose not to because of the one good turf run at Turffs - I really doubt that St John would try to mislead the public on a horse that has battled in PE and starts 4-1 Fav in a weak field - What would he have to gain? You could get 4-1 all day so what did he have to gain ?

What does it mean when a trainer says his horse as NO chance of winning?
Even if I was going to play that horse I wouldn't after hearing his comment.

Mr.hawaii I really doubt mr.gray would have told julie that sugar prism has got not chance. He probably said would have liked further and would be better on the sand not can't win and julie came to the conclusion that it could not win. When the horses are in the ring instead of telling us the horse ran second last start and tenth the time before-we can see that in a form book-show it live when the trainer gets interviewed and we can come up with our own conclusion.

I think the circumstances with SJG also have to be taken into account, he clearly wanted to see the horse on the sand and had probably done all the prep based on that. Probably p1ssed off when responding. Was surely not intended as misleading, as Mr H has demonstrated.

If you know St John and have seen his interviews he's hard to get off the Mic because he's so happy - He DID not think his horse would win but it did or he would have been hard to get off that stand and you could hear how sour he was. Again do you actually think he was being dishonest? Who was he misleading as the horse was easy to back?
I never back because of what a trainer says ever so it does not affect me, but if the guy freely gives his opinion and it goes wrong then don't always believe there was skulduggery involved -
Trainers and Jocks are on a hiding second to none because what ever they say certain punters all-ways twist it into thieving and robbery -
