These are also a moderate bunch of maidens but it could pay to follow the progress of Silver Inspirat- ion who runs in the previous contest. The top selection in this event is LA PRIMA who made an encoura- ging start to life for her new yard when she ran on steadily to finish a short head in front of the former over six furlongs on this course, recently. The daughter of Muhtafal was returning from a 17 week absence and was slow into stride, so she should have lots more improvement to come. The manner in which she finished that contest suggests that she could prefer today's extra furlong. Unfortunately, she has another wide barrier to contend with. The big improver could be GOLDEN EARINGS from the Dennis Drier yard. This daughter of Fort Wood faded badly on her shocking debut over this c & d six weeks ago but that was in a stronger line-up. The short rest would have helped her cause and the half-sister to former champion Gypsy's Warning could make good improvement with that experience under her belt.

In the last race, the only horse weighted to beat Royal Colours is Modern Spot, believe it or not. Quite odd Royal Colours receives the 1.0kg WFA allowance as a 4 year old, yet the other 4 year olds don't! Being a 5 time winner Royal Colours is well weighted and should win.

Massive rise in class must be a worry Richie. I make Victory Emblem 1.0kg out at the weight it should be carrying.
